Description of Hamdard Roghan Babchi:
Hamdard Roghan Babchi is an Unani herbal oil which is prepared from the seed oil of Babchi/ Bakuchi or Psoralea corylifolia, family Papilionaceae, Fabaceae. The seeds oil of Bakuchi plant is useful in diseases of skin like leucoderma & vitiligo.

Ingredients of Hamdard Roghan Babchi:
Psoralea corylifolia (Babchi) in Sesamum indicum Oil (Tilli) : Backuchi or Psoralea corylifolia is medicinal herb which is found throughout India. In Ayurveda Bavachi is used in formulation of various oral medicines and oils for skin problems. The seeds of this medicinal herb constitute the drug. In its seeds an essential oil is present which is very good for treating skin problems. It is used internally as well as externally. For its external application it can be mixed in some base oil. For taking it internally only purified Psoralea seeds must be used. Plants have been the basis of many traditional medicines throughout the world for thousands of years and continue to provide new remedies to mankind. Plants have been one of the important sources of medicines since the beginning of human civilization. The recent resurgence of plant remedies resulted from several factors, such as effectiveness of plant medicines and lesser side effects compared with modern medicines.
