Kapardika Bhasma is an Ayurvedic medicine, prepared from Cowries. It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of indigestion, boils, Pitta diseases etc. This medicine should only be taken strictly under medical supervision.
Kapardika Bhasma Uses:
It is used in the treatment of digestive impairment, Malabsorption syndrome, Asthma, bronchitis, Fever, Tuberculosis, Chronic bronchial diseases, eye diseases, Oligospermia etc.
Varatika Bhasma dosage:
- 125 mg 250 mg once or twice a day before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
- It is traditionally administered along with Vasa decoction, Lemon juice, Trikatu decoction and Udumbara juice extract.
Varatika Bhasma side effects:
- This medicine should only be taken under strict medical supervision.
- Self medication with this medicine may prove to be dangerous.
- Over-dosage may cause severe side effects.
- It should be very carefully used during pregnancy, lactation and in children, only if found very necessary by the prescribing doctor.
- Take this medicine in precise dose and for limited period of time, as advised by doctor.

Shuddha Varatika Purified Cowries 100 g.
Purified Cowries is triturated with aloe vera juice, extracts, made into thin disc shaped cakes, and subjected to degree celcius heat. The end product will be a very fie powder.
